After graduating college, Joe’s passion for business with his love for the outdoors and media production aligned him to help build and co found what we know today as ABO Outfitters. With his background, creating a company that was built around products an entire team stands behind, media that helps support those products along with his passion for the outdoors and building a team of like minded individuals has always been something he has strived for. From the start of ABO Outfitters, Joe along with his partners and the entire team have pushed to surround themselves with brands and other team members that share similar values.

If Joe isn’t in the woods, on the water or working on building the ABO Outfitters brand, you will more than likely find him running and operating his media production and marketing business, RAWfish Creative Group.

I live in Fredonia, WI. Being introduced to the outdoors at a young age, I’ve really developed a passion for it and the moments it can create. I enjoy fishing and hunting for a variety of species. Some of my favorite include musky, pike, bass, trout on the fly, upland hunting, and bow hunting. Introducing my two girls to the outdoors has been something I’ve really enjoyed the past few years. My Gopro is always ready, and I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead as part of the ABO Team.

Growing up in SE Minnesota I spent countless hours chasing Turkeys, Pheasants, Whitetails and fishing local trout streams with my dad from a very young age. Learning all of these valuable traits of wordsmanship at such a young age help fuel the passion that I have for the outdoors today. Over the past couple years my gears have shifted from primarily being a hunter to falling in love with becoming a Creative Story Teller and documenting my success and failures along the way. Jumping into the media side of the outdoor industry has led me on some unforgettable adventures and experiences. My personal goal now is to help continue in growing the sport and encourage the next generation to pick up a fishing rod or a bow and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.

Hello. My name is Brett Colsch. I’m originally from Houston County Minnesota (Caledonia). I currently work for Harris in Rochester as their Control System Team Lead (HVAC Controls). With my free time, I’m always out in the woods or on the water. I have a passion for hunting big whitetails and turkeys on our farm near Brownsville, MN. When it’s not hunting season, I’m out on the water/ice chasing walleyes or in the river banks throwing large rapalas for giant driftless area brown trout. I recently acquired a best friend (Duestch Drahthaar) in a dog and I take him Pheasant hunting, duck hunting, or varmint dispatching anytime I can! As far as trips go, I have an archery elk hunt planned for this September and two north Dakota pheasant/sharp-tail/duck trips planned as well. Cheers, tight lines!

Spencer Deutz

Spencer Deutz, from Moorhead, MN, has been involved in competitive sports since he was three years old. He turned his efforts to competitive walleye angling when he was 15 and started fishing professional events at the age of 20.

Spencer has fished in FLW, MWC and NWT events as a professional. He currently competes in the Casino Cup Walleye Circuit and also fishes various events including AIM, Angler Young Angler the Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce tournament. He has had ten top ten finishes with 3 wins including 2 AIM events and the Devils Lake Chamber. He is also a 6x World Walleye Championship qualifier.

Spencer has become the lead for the National Professional Anglers Association’s Future Angler Foundation leading many youth and family fishing clinics around the Midwest. Since 2011, he has educated over 1000 kids on the importance of Aquatic Nuisance Species, fish identification, on the water safety, knot tying and much more.

Jason Freed

As a Minnesota walleye fishing guide as well as a guide for other fish species, Jason gets the pleasure to guide on many different lakes which makes it a unique and rewarding experience all in one. You can find Jason spending his time as a fishing guide on Leech Lake, Lake Vermilion, and smaller lakes in the Hackensack area. Jason loves chasing Lake walleyes because it is such a challenge being the lake is over 100,000 acres. When he is fishing, Jason is the President of Leisure Outdoor Adventures so he is busy running and managing all operations within the guide service.

You can also find Jason fishing a number of competitive walleye tournaments throughout the open water season with many of them being on Leech Lake and the surrounding area. Tournament fishing is quickly becoming a passion for him and it continues to grow each year.

Outside of guiding, Jason is a High School Social Studies Teacher at Brainerd High School as well as a the Head Football Coach for the Brainerd Warriors. He likes to say he has passion in life for the 4 F’s, “Faith, Family, Fishing, and Football”. He is married to Emilee and they have two daughters in Macin and Hayden.

My name is Andrew Freitag, born and raised in Thunder Bay. At age 2 I was on the side of the river from April to June on my dads back. I fell in love with outdoors before I even knew how to fish. I began fly fishing before spin fishing at age 4 and that’s when the addiction began. The rest is history. I am currently in 3rd year at Lakehead University studying Kinesiology and guiding on the North shore of lake superior for steelhead and brook trout. Also competing in the Northwestern Ontario regional bass tournaments. My fall consists of archery hunting moose and chasing NWO whitetails. Waterfowl has been a big part of my fall as well. Enthusiastic, genuine, passionate, eager to learn and to perfect my self as an angler, hunter, and outdoorsman. My studies and family are also a big part of my life.

I was fortunate to grow up in the upland hunting scene. My family owned a shooting preserve that over the course over 40 years, evolved entirely into being a wild bird hunting outfitter. Since 2008 I have been been fortunate to guide wild bird hunts in Minnesota and the western prairies of South Dakota. I love the northwoods of Minnesota but have developed a deep love for watching my Setters and Pointers covering ground on the prairie. In addition to bird hunting, I enjoy pretty well all types of fishing and spend as much time on the water as I can. Fly fishing for trout and smallmouth is definitely my favorite!

I grew up hunting and fishing western Wisconsin. I did a lot of hunting and fly fishing small rivers in my early teens. My passion for fishing would only grow as I got older. Meeting new friends and traveling new places over the years has given me the opportunity to hear some great stories and go to some awesome destinations. My first boat I purchased I had one thing in mind and that was “chasing muskies”. From that point on I’ve continued the chase. Fishing new water is always an excitement and when fishing for muskies there are many challenges. When it comes to these incredible fish I always like a good challenge. Tim Hanske

Capt. Tim Hanske is a multi-species, year-round professional fishing guide on Mille Lacs, Leech Lake, and in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota. Since the age of 17 years old, Tim has been helping clients chase walleyes, muskies, smallmouth, and largemouth bass on some of the best waters Minnesota has to offer. Tim is also an avid fly fisherman and has taken clients out for smallmouth and muskies on the fly. Tim loves to share his passion for finding and catching fish with his customers and making a memorable day on the water!

Nick Miltimore

Nick Miltimore is an avid outdoorsman and fishing guide in Central Minnesota. His love of being on the water and in the woods is a result of growing up around it. He grew up in the Brainerd Lakes Area and currently resides there raising a family with his wife Courtney who also grew up in Brainerd.

Nick has been guiding, fishing tournaments, hunting and enjoying the outdoors for as long as he can remember. He guides for one of Central Minnesota’s largest and most professional guide services throughout the summer months, Leisure Outdoor Adventures. He spends time on the water in the Brainerd Lakes Area including lakes like Gull, North Long, Pelican, and the Whitefish Chain while also traveling to Leech, Cass, and Mille Lacs frequently and hitting many small lakes in between. He hunts throughout the northern half of Minnesota and travels to neighboring states and Canada with a bow, rifle, and muzzleloader. He thoroughly enjoys all of his time on the water and in the woods chasing walleyes, crappies, and whitetails.

Born and raised in central Minnesota has given me great access to excellent fishing opportunities. Growing up, I was fortunate enough that my father had the patience to let me tag along with him on many Walleye trips. Learning the patience it takes to chase walleyes at a young age has paid off in my older years and has made for many successful and not so successful trips.

I am an advocate for catch and release of trophy caliber fish. It is my hope that by releasing these fish, it will give someone else the joy and experience of landing and holding a true trophy.

Born and raised in Plymouth, MN. I have grown up loving anything to do with the outdoors. Fishing, to me, is a way to get away from the everyday stressors of our hectic lives. As soon as I get home from my most recent school year/hockey season I look to relax and hit the water! In the spring, I love to chase schools of crappies with lightweight tackle! But as the first Saturday in June nears I turn my focus to the ever elusive muskellunge. My favorite way to chase these apex predators is with a high speed reel and a bucktail. Over the years I have come to love “the chase” just as much as the catch. With this, there is never a dull moment on the water!

My names Noah Timmons and I live in SE MN. I started hunting to be like my older brother, but now it’s something I can’t live without. I currently reside in Byron Minnesota with my wife and two daughters. I grew up in south western Minnesota on the banks of the cottonwood river and Minnesota river fishing anything I could catch. My passion started for me at a very young age. Competitive walleye fishing was a big part of my life before children and even though the fire still burns inside. Most of my current free days are spent fishing walleyes with my wife and two daughters on pool 4 or the St.Croix River and salmon on lake Michigan. Have been fishing tournaments since age 11 and guiding on and off not too long after. Hello, my name is Jake and my passion is the outdoors! Some refer to me as a whitetail freak because I am constantly talking/thinking about deer, all year long. When spring rolls around, I love to shed hunt and chase turkeys with my bow.

I work for a company called Domain Outdoor where we specialize in food plot seed and attractants. Working for this company has really inspired me to help others create their perfect domain, as well as my own. I grew up in MN hunting waterfowl, deer and fishing bass tournaments around the state. After college I moved west to Montana. Since that point in time I have fallen in love with chasing Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope. I try to sneak in any other outdoor adventure I can such a 5 day float trips on the Smith River, ice fishing for perch and walleye or floating the Upper Madison during the Salmon Fly hatch. My new interest is figuring out how to get more involved with conservation to help protect all the resources we have now for my son and the future generations to follow.

I was raised in a family that relied on hunting and fishing as a means of putting food on the table. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion and great respect for our resources, always looking to improve sustainable practices so those resources continue producing year after year. I find this even more important now as I have started my own family. I hunted waterfowl hard into my early 20’s and then transitioned with a much stronger focus on whitetails. Now I look forward to archery season as soon as I fill my tag(s) from the previous season.

I started working at resorts and guiding while I attended college in 2003 and fell in love teaching people about the outdoors and making vacation memories. I graduated from the university of minnesota in 2007 and decided to make a go of guiding in Ely MN. Since then I have made stops on lake Mille lacs and currently reside in Walker Minnesota with my wife Rachel and 4 Children Selah, Brant, Hudson and Colton. I also currently guide fishing trips and waterfowl trips on famous Leech Lake Minnesota. I enjoy sharing my passion of the outdoors with our guests and making fun memorable experiences.

My passion for shooting sports started at a young age when my dad would bring my brother and myself to our local gun club. The family experience grew into competitive trapshooting in multiple state shoots and national events. My wife Tiffany and I love going pheasant hunting as much as possible with our dog Ellie (black lab). Whether we get a full limit of birds or walk for hours with no shooting, our favorite part is watching Ellie work a field.
