SCOTT LAKE LODGE

Scott Lake Lodge offers a luxury fly-in fishing experience unlike anywhere else.

Located on the edge of the largest untouched wilderness area in the world. Scott Lake Lodge is a true fly-in fishing experience. Located on the border of the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan, our main lodge sits only a stone’s throw from the 60th parallel. No lodge in Canada offers the extent and variety of Scott’s fishing territory. With Scott Lake, its adjacent lakes and the flyout lakes used exclusively by Scott Lake Lodge, anglers coming to Scott have a half a million acres of productive water – more than a lifetime of fishing opportunities. Between us and the Arctic Ocean is nothing but lakes and empty country.

THE BEST GUIDES IN THE BUSINESS – Competent navigators (learning over a million acres of water isn’t easy), accomplished wilderness cooks, entertaining communicators, comfortable using complex GPS and fish locating equipment, infinitely patient and yes, fun to be with. Our commitment at Scott is to provide every angler with a guide who will give 100% every hour of every day. It’s simply how we do things here.

AT YOUR SERVICE – As a Scott Lake guest you are outnumbered: not including our guest service staff based in Rhinelander and Saskatoon, the staff/customer ratio on the island is better than 1:1. You will not be unattended. Every member of the shore staff team share the same goal, to ensure that your visit to Scott is the trip of a lifetime.

THREE IS JUST THE RIGHT NUMBER – Unlike many lakes where you have to choose either good action or trophy size, Scott Lake offers both. It’s not uncommon here to land 50 to 100 fish a day for a single boat, and we’ve had more than a few with well over 100 fish in a day. Its not uncommon to get multiple trophies in a day. Fishing just doesn’t get much better anywhere in the world.

At Scott there are often five-day trips that produce as many huge fish as several other Canadian fishing lodges land in an entire season. At Scott you don’t have to spend hours getting to the fish. In fact, a number of the best lake trout spots on Scott Lake are within sight of the Lodge. We’ve had a 46″ trout and a 50″ pike caught within a 15 minute boat ride from our dock. With Scott and Premier lake (connected to Scott) you can fish 200,000 acres of private water and follow over 500 miles of shoreline. That is a lot of room to roam. Typically you will spend 6 to 8 hours actually fishing not cruising around the lake. Unlike many Canadian fishing lodges, there are no two-hour boat rides to get to the right spot. So, what are the fish that you will be catching on your Scott Lake Lodge fishing vacation? It’s a simple ecosystem in the far north. We offer just three gamefish, but with our size and numbers three is just the right number.
